Executive Orders and Anti Trans Legislation is on the rise. As the current administration tries to erase gender non-conforming people, we will do our best to keep you up to date on the issues as they stand. Because there are so many to deal with on both a national and state level we are only focusing on federal policies at this time.

    DEFENDING WOMEN FROM GENDER IDEOLOGY EXTREMISM AND RESTORING BIOLOGICAL TRUTH TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

    Jan. 20, 2025 – This executive order seeks to end the recognition of gender variance by eliminating concept of gender and reverting physical sex characteristics. This order tells federal agencies to stop allowing changes of sex markers and eliminates the option of an X marker on passports. This was the order that defined sex not at birth but at conception, making all humans female.

    ·         Eliminates use of gender on all federal forms and changes to sex

    ·         Eliminates funding of programs to help/promote gender ideology

    ·         Seeks to edit Supreme Court’s Bostock decision, 2020 to mandate single sex spaces, denying equal access to bathrooms, locker rooms etc.

    INITIAL RESCISSIONS OF HARMFUL EXECUTIVE ORDERS AND ACTIONS

    Jan. 20, 2025 - This executive order seeks to end executive orders of the previous administrations with a focus on DEI.

    ·         Executive Order 13988 of Jan. 20, 2021 (Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation).

    ·         Executive Order 14004 of January 25, 2021 (Enabling All Qualified Americans To Serve Their Country in Uniform).

    ·         Executive Order 14021 of March 8, 2021 (Guaranteeing an Educational Environment Free From Discrimination on the Basis of Sex, Including Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity).

    Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness

    Jan. 27, 2025 – This executive order seeks to ban gender non-conforming people from the military on the basis of “adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life.  A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.”

    PROTECTING CHILDREN FROM CHEMICAL AND SURGICAL MUTILATION

    Jan. 28, 2025 – This executive order compares medical intervention and support of transgender youth to female genital mutilation. It seeks to end funding for any medical facility that receives government funding, including Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements, who provide gender affirming care to anyone under the age of 19. This includes puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and any surgeries that help one to pass.

    ·         Stops Medicare and Medicaid payments to any facility who offers affirming care to minors.

    ·         Prevents health insurance companies for federal workers and Tricare, the military health insurance provider, from covering any medical treatments for gender dysphoria.

    ·         Stops grants and government funding to any medical facility who offers affirming care to minors.

    ·         Defunds and discredits the research and guidelines of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH)

    Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling

    Jan. 29, 2025 – This executive order seeks to end federal funding for k-12 schools who promote “woke gender ideology” among other “harmful” polices designed to promote equality. It also establishes a patriotic curriculum that requires education on the whitewashed benefits of the USA.

    ·         Takes away grants, and federal funds to schools who affirm gender.

    ·         Seeks to punish teachers and schools with loss of licenses, certificates and employment for “facilitating a child’s social transition” at school

    Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports

    Feb. 5, 2025 – This executive order bans transgender women from playing in women’s sports. While no specifics can be found in age this order will withhold funding to any organization who allows “biological males” to play in women’s sport or use their locker rooms. This includes international and Olympic athletes. This order does not place any restrictions on transgender males participating in sports.

    Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias

    Feb. 6, 2025 – This executive order creates a task force comprised of secretaires and heads of various governmental bodies, all of whom are appointed, to help create revenge policies for what is perceived as crimes and discrimination against Christian ideologies. This includes Trans Day of Remembrance falling on Easter Sunday in 2024, and “forcing Christians to affirm radical transgender ideology against their faith or prohibiting them from adoption.”

    H.R. 1015: To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide for certain rules for housing or transportation based on gender and to provide for a limitation on gender-related medical treatment.

    Oral Arguments: Dec. 4, 2024

    Case summary: Questions the constitutionality of a Tennessee law banning gender-affirming care for transgender minors, arguing that this ban violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment by discriminating against transgender youth by denying them access to medical treatments available to other minors; essentially, the case centers on whether transgender people should be considered a protected class under the law and have the right to access gender-affirming medical care like hormone therapy and puberty blockers.

    The plaintiffs argue that this law unfairly discriminates against transgender youth by denying them access to medical care that is available to cisgender youth, violating their right to equal protection under the law. 

    This case could have major implications for transgender rights nationwide, as many states have similar laws restricting access to gender-affirming care for minors. 

    Ruling is anticipated in June 2025.

  • Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

    Jan. 28, 2025 -  A press release by the acting chair Andrea Lucas highlights her support of Trump’s executive order on Jan. 20th 2025 that tries to negate gender identity. She has taken away access to identifying pronouns in the Microsoft environment and removing X markers. Her goal at the EEOC push for gender bathroom bans among other things in all private businesses. While she can’t unilaterally change these policies, she intends to advocate any changes to bring about this goal.

    Office of Personnel Management

    Jan. 29, 2025 – In a memo from OPM it was announced that by 5pm on Jan. 31st all agencies were required to pull down from the websites and internal resources anything that referenced gender, place on administrative leave employees whose job descriptions had anything to do with promoting gender ideology, disband all services and groups to help workers with gender differences, and turn all bathrooms and locker rooms into single sex spaces. This was the directive for all federal agencies and buildings including airports.
